To pursue a career in Robotics, you can take up courses related to computer sciences, electronics, mecatronics but not just mechanical engineering as it will not give you exposure to the coding part. So electronics or Computer sciences can be a good base for a postgraduate in Robotics.

If you want to do masters in robotics , you can take any branch like electrical or mechanical and there is one more branch which is named engineering physics this branch has robotics subject in third year or fourth year this is research based branch if doing mtech in robotics is final decision of yours than you can also prefer this branch in btech or you have one more option instead of taking mechanical or electrical score good in iit jee advance because top iites also  give btech courses in robotics .

There is b.tech course for Robotics and it is useful for you to do master in robotics.so the top entrance exam for Robotics are iit-jee and srmjee.

You got your course in top universites like iit srm .

If you don't like that b.tach robotics..both the mechanical and electrical are robotics related....robotics deals mostly electrical engineering ...
