Hello,
It is absolutely fine if you take drop a year. Many students drop a year if they don't get a seat in the desired college. So it is fine. Don't worry. I want to pitch in my personal opinion here, which I believe many youngsters agree with. Many people you know judge you if you drop a year, but that shouldn't effect you. You know whatg you want, so you should do whatever it takes. If you think you are capable enough to earn a seat in a better college, then go for it. In the long run, it is not going to make any difference.
Good Luck!
