NIOS means National Institute of open schooling. You can do study here is regular classes basis also distance mode basis.

So you can join 12th class in arts group NIOS board. And take computer as additional subject also. It will be helpful in your future. Because computer very necessary in now days. If you have computer in your 12th then in future you can go for study in computer it will helpful a lots. You can know basic things in your school level it will be easy to learn.

As you mentione dthat you are pursuing 12th class form NIOS from arts stream and you want to take computer science as additional subject. Then yes, you can consider it as per the norms set by NIOS which says that you are required to pass in a minimum of five subjects including one or maximum of two languages from Group 'A' (which will most probably be English for you) and other three or four subjects from other Group. However, you are free to take upto two additional subjects. Thus, in all you can choose a maximum of seven subjects.  So, if you take computer science as additional subject and are willing to take any other optional subject too then you can choose from sociology, tourism, physical education and yoga. Other than this you cannot take any other optional subject with computer science. Or you can go ahead with only computer science.
