Yes you can sufely convert Preparatory courses in Mechanical from newer IIT like Jammu, Ropar, Mandi.

Also its noted that after end of preparation course candidates have ro reappaear for exam to get shortlisted into IITs Full time Btech Programs from 2019 of 4 year duration.

Preparatory course is residential only and is for students who didnt qualify jee advanced cutoff so they can be trained by IIT.

IS that okay to take an admission in newer iits. n what's about computer science engineering.. you say nothing about this..HUH??
