The paper 1 is for BTech and paper 2 is for BArch.
The officials have not declared any cut off  lists yet, but every year 2,24,000 students qualify for JEE advanced.
To secure a rank below 2.24lakh your Jee main percentile should be above 76. you need to score atleast 110 marks to secure your position.

Both paper ( 1 and 2) are for different course paper 1 is for admission in barch. And 2 for BTech.
You can give only one also in which you want to go.
And jee advanced is for admission in BTech in IIT s and for this you have the qualify jee mains paper 1 .
Nearly 2.2 lakhs students will qualify for jee advanced  and according the the assumption and prediction nearly 85 percentile score you have to secure for qualifying ( may even more depending upon exact conditions and April exam) in paper 1 .
But if you are well prepared for advanced than you will secure very good percentile score in jee mains also.
