Hello aspirant, With 256 marks in NEET, getting an MBBS seat through management quota is very difficult, even if you belong to the OBC category. Management quota seats do not follow reservation rules, and the cutoff for such seats in most private colleges is usually around 400 or above. Your score is quite below the typical closing scores for MBBS, even in mop-up or stray rounds.
If you're still interested in a medical career, you can consider BAMS, BHMS, or BDS in private colleges, where cutoffs are lower. Or, if MBBS is your only goal, it might be better to take a drop and prepare again to improve your score.
Hello aspirant, With 256 marks, getting an MBBS seat through management quota in top private colleges is very difficult. Most private colleges offering MBBS under management quota close at much higher scores, usually above 400. Your score is quite low for MBBS, even under OBC category, as management quota doesn't usually have category-based relaxation.
Some lower-tier private colleges may accept scores around yours in mop-up rounds, but the fees are very high and seat availability is uncertain. If MBBS is your goal, it’s better to aim for a better score next year. Alternatively, you can explore BAMS, BHMS, BDS, or allied health courses which have lower cutoffs and still offer good career paths.
