Dear candidate,

as per your said marks and as per the last year cutoff trend you have less chance of getting government medical college in assam.

Last year cutoff for st(plain) category for the government medical colleges under the state quota benefit are as follows:

  • Tezpur medical college 264
  • Silchar medical college 270
  • Jorhat medical college 286

As cutoff changes every year depends on the different variable factors, as last year cutoff is 264 for tezpur and this year yours marks is 276. As said that this year there will be slight change of increase in cutoff marks.
You have chance for tezpur, you can hope for the best

Hey Priya, You have scored 276 marks in NEET 2019 and you also belong to the ST category. Yes, You can take admission in Silchar Medical College in Assam. Really that will be very helpful to you while taking admission in Government Funding Technical Institute (GFTI) as some special seats are being reserved for each and every special reserved category. You can get a seat there but there are fewer chances as due to a lot of varying cutoffs in government colleges. I would suggest you check for government colleges, semi-government colleges, and even some good private colleges too in your state as you can get a seat in reserved quota too.

I would personally suggest you use the NEET Predictor and explore various colleges according to your category and home state quota and choose the best one for you as this college will be your future lifeline.

Hello student,
With a score of 270 in St category, you have chances of procuring a seat in the government medical college, Silchar when comparing the results of previous years. Last year, a minimum score of 270 was required to fetch one a seat in the Silchar government medical college and hospital in St (plain)  category under the state quota. But, one thing to keep in mind is that scores and ranks vary each year with difficulty level of the question paper and availability of seats. However you can go through the following link to know about the cut off's and ranks for the previous years and calculate your chances of selection
