To be eligible to get seat in IITs/NITs/GFTIs a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry from a recognized board or university.candidates belonging to general category must have passed with 75% aggregate and for SC/ST it is 65% aggregate.

As you scored 72% aggregate in qualifying you are eligible to get admission in NITs if you qualify JEE main.
