hi,

see there is numerous engineering colleges in india which offers admission in various engineering stream, however the all state government engineering colleges , centralized institute like IITs NITs, cftis offers admission based on entrance test score, in india apart from jee main there is many state wise entrance test, also there is individual entrance test conducts by the respective university. some of the popular engineering entrance exams are,

BITSAT - Birla Institute of Technology and Science

MET- Manipal Academy of Higher Education (Earlier known as Manipal University)

VITEEE- VIT University

SRMJEE- SRM Institute of Science and Technology (Earlier known as SRM University)

COMEDK UGET-COMEDK UGET conducted by the Consortium of Medical Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK).

KIITEE- Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Examination (KIITEE)

Apart from entrance tests,  anna university conducts tnea (tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions) counselling process which is totally based on 12th course, candidates from the state of tamil nadu  , as well as others state candidates participate in tnea counselling process, around 500+ colleges participate in tnea counselling process. due to covid 19 tnea counselling has delayed, so I suggest you to check the official website daily,

another excellent Institute which offers btech admission based on 12th score is sastra university,

sastra university has admission proces of two types, in type 1 admission process, jee main and 12th score both are considered, where 75% weightage is given to 12th score and 25% weightage is given to jee main score, 70% seats of b.tech is fills by this type 1 process.

In type 2 process, admission is based on 12th score only, however 30% seats are fills based on type 2 process.

however since most of the institute or university admission is based on either of all india engineering entrance test or state entrance test or university entrance test. so you need to also participate in some of the exams if you want to take admission in tier 1 colleges to make increase the possibility of your chances.

hope you may understand.
