Hello!
Opening Rank (OR) is the rank of first student who has selected for any specific course in the college. Closing Rank (CR) is the rank of last student who got selected for a specific course in the college.

These definitions clearly mean that students who got rank above the closing rank have higher chance of selection and students who got rank below the closing rank have lower chance of selection in that specific course of the college.

Electrical Engineering deals with the study of electrical devices like electricity generators and transformers whereas Electronics and Communication Engineering deals with the study of electronic devices like circuit boards and chips.
