I myself score 626 in NEET 2019 with 330+ in biology so I guess I can help. I also had this question while appearing and was not able to score 300+.

Coaching centres make papers which are actually more tough than original NEET papers . Specifically the biology section has many questions which are asked from outside NCERT, but that is a good thing.

The questions in biology is made tougher so that If you make any mistakes there, you can later analyse those faults and acquire the extra knowledge which you are not getting from NCERT.

If you are scoring around 260 to 290 that is not bad nothing to be afraid. You do not need to start reading unnecessary books, focus mainly on NCERT.

I myself revised again and again all the biology mistakes I ever made and also read up the answers of those question in detail.

Don't loose your spirit if you are scoring bad in tests, just keep learning from them.
