About your admission, you can definitely get a college on the basis of class 12th marks and then try for attempting JEE Mains to be safe. It's better than dropping out. If you have prepared for your board exams well you that will mean that your basic concepts are clear. But you need to practice mocks and previous year to check out the pattern and level of difficulty. Best books are HC Verma for physics. NCERT for chemistry and RD Sharma for maths. These books are my personal favourite but many people prefer the others. I will provide you the link which consists of the complete list of do's and don'ts. Don't worry at all. With a lot of hardwork, dedication and consistency you can crack the exam.
