I want take petroleum engineering as my degree after intermediate.isit a better choice?

The scope intensity goes up and down timely. So in case you can struggle and survive the times when its low then you should opt for pertroleum engineering. Incase you are unable to do so then choose the other. It has good money but there can be low tides in this branch as well.

There are different types of Petroleum engineers depending on the type of work they do:

Petroleum geologists

Drilling engineers

Completions engineers

 

Production engineers

As per a survey, the annual salary of a Petroleum engineer ranges from Rs. 2 Lakh to Rs. 37 lakhwith the average salary being Rs. 7 lakhs annually.
