Hello,

Admission in to MBBS course in the colleges of West Bengal is based on merit in NEET UG. A candidate must appear for NEET UG and qualify in it to get admission in a college. The eligibility criteria to appear for NEET UG is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 with Biology, Physics, Chemistry and English from a recognized board. Depending on the category of the candidate the minimum percentage of marks has to be scored in Biology, Physics and Chemistry which is as follows

  • General: 50%
  • SC/ST/OBC: 40%
  • PWD: 45%

To qualify in NEET UG a candidate must score minimum cut off marks in the entrance test. The minimum cut off marks for NEET UG 2020 were as follows category wise

  • General: 147-720
  • SC/ST/OBC: 113-146
  • PWD: 129-146

The cut off marks changes every year depending on number of candidates appeared, difficulty level of exam and number of seats available etc. 15% seats are filled through 15% AIQ counselling and remaining 85% seats are filled through state counselling. Department of Health & Family Welfare (DHFW), Kolkata, will conduct NEET West Bengal MBBS counselling. You need to apply separately for counselling in the official https://wbmcc.nic.in/

As of now the registrations for NEET West Bengal MBBS 2021 counselling haven't started yet. The official notification for the counselling will be published. So you have to keep an eye on updates. To know the important dates and other information use the link below

Hi

Admission in all the medical colleges for MBBS is it through Neet examination be it West Bengal or any other state as the state level entrance examination for MBBS has been scrapped off and now neet is your only gateway to MBBS.

So, if you want to get admission in MBBS in a medical college in West Bengal ,here's the procedure :-

  • Apply for neet
  • Qualify neet
  • Attend all India counselling  and if you want to do MBBS from West Bengal then choose medical Colleges in West Bengal in which you want to get admission while filling your choices
  • Or you can also participate in West Bengal State counselling if you are domicile of West Bengal
  • On the basis of marks/ rank obtained by in NEET will be allotted a seat in the college.

Now that,

You know that you will have to appear for Neet, you need to be eligible for it

Neet 2021 eligibility criteria says that to be eligible you must be either appearing for 12th board examination or should have passed 12th board examination with physics, chemistry ,biology/biotechnology and English and must have got:-
