Hello,

As i have told earlier also,that there this an option 'FLOAT' that means that if you are not satisfied with a seat in round 1,then you can select float option so that your seat in round 1 will be saved.

And you will then go to more high preferences,so you can attend round 2,and if you are alloted a higher option i.e a college of higher preference then automatically your new seat will be alloted to you.

And if this doesn't happens then the seat that was alloted to you in round 1 will be again alloted to you.

So you don't need an admission from round1 since you can get more choices from further rounds through 'FLOAT' option.

Admission is to be taken,when your college and a particular branch is fully final.

Thank You!

All the Best!

If any queries,feel free to ask.

Regards!

Hello,

You can choose option called as float. It is not compulsory to take admission in college alloted in round 1. But it is safe choose float option

Following are some rules for float option.

1.Float: Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that, if admission to an academic program of higher preference in any Institution is offered,they will accept it. Else, they will continue with the currently accepted academic program.
Such Candidates will be considered in subsequent rounds of admission;
(2) Candidate should select the reporting option as ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ through their login.
(3) If candidate gets better choice in CAP Round II and /or III, Candidate may change the reporting option as ‘Freeze’ or ‘Float’ through their login, otherwise earlier option will be carried forward.
(4) For Candidates who choose the Float option, and secures a seat of his choice of higher preference, then it would automatically
result in the forfeiture of the seat accepted by the Candidate in the earlier round;
(5) Floating options will not be available to a Candidate who is offered admission to his first choice.
