Scientist is a person having interest, curiosity and knowledge about particular field. First of all find your interest and then go in that direction.

It doesn't matter you are Bsc or Btech you can still become scientist. I will suggest you to do some internships and research work during your undergradate programme so that you get better understanding.

Give JAM exam for top colleges where you can associate with some more people having research background.

see you can be scientist from starting any of the course b.sc or b.tech. however it depends on which area of studies you want to do, you can a be scientist of physics, or in biotechnology area or chemistry. another thing is only a degree course is not enough to become a scientist, you also need to do masters as well as phd course depends on job purpose.
