It is a really good choice of career to become an architect that is to complete your graduation by B. Arch. To get admission in colleges for B. Arch the most important exams are NATA and JEE - Main Paper 2. JEE - Main Paper 1 is for B. Tech admissions where Paper 2 is for B. Arch. You can opt for giving just paper 1 or just paper 2 based on your will.

It's good that you have decided what to do in future.But let me tell you that if you want to go for architecture,then you will have to go for Jee mains paper 2.

No it is not necessary to give paper 1 and paper 2 both,paper 1 will be for engineering purposes,so if want to appear for paper 1 then it's fine but if you dont have any plans for engineering,then it will be good that you prepare for paper 2 only.

But some people appear in both,since they study 2 years in the science stream,hence they wish to appear in paper 1 and paper 2 both.

So there is no restriction.

It's your choice.
