Hello,

A Ph.D. degree is required to work as an astronomer.

To begin, you must finish your 10+2 examinations in the scientific stream, with a focus on Mathematics and Physics.

After that, you can enrol in an astronomy undergraduate course. You can enrol in a Physics honors/major with Mathematics as a supplementary course.

Following that, you can enrol in a postgraduate programme in physics or astronomy.

After earning a master's degree, you can pursue astronomy specialty leading to a Ph. D.
