Hi,

In order to become a pilot, you can choose any route from the 2 options i.e. civil aviation which is basically commercial pilot and another one is indian defense forces or airforce. Since you want to become a commercial pilot, you will need to pursue aviation as your career for which you will need to study physics, maths and chemistry in your higher secondary. In case you did not study physics and maths at HSC, you have the option of pursuing it from National institute of open schooling. You have to enroll in a flying school and pursue a course in Bsc. aviation for which you will need to sit for the entrance examination which comprise of written test, aptitude test, personal interview and DGCA medical examination. On qualifying, you will have to give oral test in order to get a license. Once tou get the license, you will need to complete 250 hours of flying in order to finally be declared as a commercial pilot.
