Ncertbooks highly recommended and students must also use reference books for detailed understanding of concepts like below.

Op Tandon for Chemistry
Hc Verma and IE Irodov for Physics
RD sharma for Mathematics
All previous year solved papers

Appearing for mocks is very important and is secret to scoring good marks with ample practice and analyzibg weak areas which need revision .

There are various good books for JEE mains which are very helpful for JEE mains point of view they are ;

Physics : NCERT , Arihant , HC Verma , I.E Irodov.
Chemistry : NCERT , NCERT Examplar , Arihant, OP Tandon and previous year JEE mains paper.
Mathematics : NCERT , RD SHARMA, CENGAGE and previous 10 years Jee Mains paper.
