First thing, fashion communication degree is not fashion designing. They co-relate with each other but are different. While fashion designing is more of designing and evolving new fashion trends, fashion communication is the skills to be able to use the tools of communication in fashion. Fashion Comm is offered by NIFT, admission to which is done through its entrance test. The degree is Bachelors in Design (Fashion Comm). This course is offered at the NIFT Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai campuses. It is also offered at Symbiosis Insitute of Design, Pune, AAFT Delhi.

A degree in fashion communication equips students with skills to understand fashion, its requirements related to designing, the industry. As a specialist one will learn the ability to provide communication strategies to the fashion personnel.
