see you need to appear in upsee exam which is the entrance exam to admission in first year b.tech course as well as btech lateral entry program from second year. the eligiblity criteria for diploma candidates for upsee is, candidates need to pass diploma from recognized institute located in UP or Board of Technical Education, UP from any branches. there is no age limit for applying. so study previous years question papers, and stream wise mcq questions.

syllabus concludes Engineering Mechanics, Engineering Graphics, Basic Electrical Engg., Basic Electronics Engg., Elements of computer science, Elementary Biology, Basic Workshop Practice and Physics/Chemistry/Maths of Diploma standard.
