i was allotted a Government College seat earlier but did not report. Now I have admission in a private college. Can I still participate in the Special/Vacant Seat Round for Government Colleges? Does my previous allotment affect eligibility? Please guide me about the steps I should follow.

Hello,

Yes, you can take part in the Special/Vacant Seat Round, but your previous government seat will not be considered.

As you were allotted a Government College seat earlier but did not report, your seat is automatically cancelled for that round. But still, you can participate in another round if the counselling authority allows fresh registration or participation for remaining seats.

Hello dear candidate,

Yes, you can still in the special vacant seat round for the government colleges even if you did not report to the government college seat which was allotted to you.

Your old allotment won't affect you from joining again as you did not accept it, but if you get a government seat you will have to leave the private one and you may lose part of your fees.
