Hello,

With 70 marks in TG EAMCET and belonging to the SC-I category, your chances for a veterinary seat depend heavily on that year’s cutoffs for your category. Veterinary courses in Telangana are limited in seats and highly sought after, so even category-based reservations are competitive. In some years, SC category cutoffs have been around or slightly above your score, but it varies with the difficulty level of the exam, number of applicants, and seat distribution. I suggest you participate in all rounds of counselling and keep options open for other veterinary colleges under the same university. Also, monitor spot admissions if they are announced.

Hello Deepak

With 70 marks in TG EAMCET, your chances of getting a veterinary seat in a government college is low as the cutoff for SC category for government college is around 80 - 100 marks. But you will be able to get a management quota seat or private college seat in veterinary easily.

Hey Deepak,

In Telangana, admission to Veterinary courses like B.V.Sc and A.H is not based on TS EAMCET but entirely on NEET(UG) score .So,even though you belong to SC-I category and have scored 70 marks in TS EAMCET,this score will not be considered for a veterinary seat.Instead, TS EAMCET is used for courses such as engineering, agriculture, pharmacy, so your EAMCET score will only be relevant if you pursue one of the above streams.

If your goal is veterinary,it would be best to focus on preparing for NEET to meet the required cutoffs.

With 70 marks in TS EAMCET as an SC-I (SC) candidate , you stand a good chance of securing admission to a B.V.Sc & A.H (Veterinary) course in Telangana. There's no minimum qualifying mark for SC candidates , and based on past trends:

  • In 2023–24, SC category cutoffs (non-rural/non-farmer) ranged from approximately 370 to 2,000 in the veterinary stream.

  • In 2025, expected SC cutoffs stretch from about 370 to 2,000 for Non-Farmer/Non-Rural UR candidates, and potentially a bit higher for rural or local segments.

Scoring 70 marks should place you within or very near this bracket, making veterinary admission quite achievable.
