Hello,
Yes you can submit EWS certificate for 2nd Jee mains with a valid certificate declaring yourself EWS. But you have to be ready with the valid documents during counseling time. Your general rank might be used unless you get the session 2 declaration processed correctly and have proof, so get your certificate ASAP and ensure it's valid during counseling period and to get such benefits.
Hope this information helps you.
Thankyou!

Hello Naresh,
NO, you can not eligible for EWS category now as you have already registered for JEE Mains. You cannot change your category now for session 2.
Use the JEE Main 2026 Rank Predictor to estimate your expected rank based on your scores or percentile and plan your college options smartly.
Hii
If you did not submit your EWS certificate while applying for JEE Main Session 1, you can still apply under the General-EWS category in Session 2, provided you have a valid EWS certificate at the time of filling the Session 2 application or during the correction window, if allowed by NTA. Many candidates register separately for Session 2, and if the portal permits category selection, you can choose EWS and upload the certificate then. However, if the system does not allow changing the category in Session 2, you can still claim EWS reservation at the JoSAA/CSAB counselling stage, as long as you produce a valid certificate during document verification. Therefore, not submitting the EWS certificate in Session 1 does not permanently disqualify you from EWS benefits.
