Hello,
You shook join the Hyderabad one.
IBS, Hyderabad is a premier B-School but has lost its reputation since last 57 years. IBS, Hyderabad is a classic example when a great academic institution meets a not-so-good marketing team.

The Alumni of 200607 batch or before are verywell placed. Even the later batches got placed very well. (But now only top 50100 students get placed very well)

I wouldt go in depth, but IBS,Hyderabad is a great intuition and if you have a bad aptitude and want to do MBA in Finance, probably this is the right place for you. But mind well, if you want to be in top 50, you should have a CGPA of 9.2+ out of 10.

Youd have to work hard in your MBA plus if youre doing Fin, getting a CFA will easily get into multinational financial services conglomerates.

If you can give one more year, Id prefer that but if you want to go to IBS, Hyderabad, be ready to work hard in your MBA. :)

Check this link for snap cutoff.

Cheers !!

IBS Hyderabad, Jaipur and Dehradun offers MBA while all other campus of IBS offers PGDM. Fees for IBS Dehradun is lowest. I guess its around 2.5 lac/year. whereas for Hyderabad it is close to 6.5 lac/year. But undoubtedly IBS Hyd has good placements. But if you are keeping ROI in mind, than i would recommend IBS mumbai which will offer PGDM, but has good placements and fees aroud 3.65 lac/year. IBS hyderabad has Hostel facility while IBS Mumbai doesnt.Cost of living in Mumbai is high. So think about all aspects not just fees and decide accordingly.

Based on return on investment and Quality of education, IBS Hyderabad is best as the job opportunity are very good for all students with almost 80% Placements ratio and average package of 6LPA.
Faculty has been more experienced with indistry wide knowledge at Hyderabad campus.

Next best alternative is IBS Mumbai.
