Dear Muskan, Identity proof is necessary for 2 reasons. First, the invigilators dont know all the 15 lakh candidates personally to validate their authenticity. So they need to know if the candidature is genuine or not. Second, they need a proof that the candidate who has filled in the application form and the candidate whonis appearing for the exam.is one and the same. Only an Identity proof can validate this. Hence it is important to carry original of any one among Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Voter Id along with you for the exam. If you don't then you wont be allowed to the exam hall.
