if A : B = 5 : 8 and B : C = 16 : 25, find A : C.

Hello,

A : B= 5 : 8      B : C= 16 : 25

A/B= 5/8          B/C= 16/25

if we multiply both the ratios then we can perform mathematical operations to find the ratio between A and C that is A : C value

A : C= A/B * B/C= 5/8 * 16/25= 2/5

There fore A : C= 2 : 5
