If you don't appear at the examination hall, then your attempt will not be considered.If you are willing to attempt JEE Mains, considering that you are done with class 11 and 12. Then, check out the highly famous Physics Wallah on Youtube for Physics and Chemistry. And, I hear Mohit Tyagi is preferable for Math.

Also, please refer previous 15-20 years JEE Main question paper. I suugest this because you may get an idea of questions asked in exam. This site holds many useful books required for your preparation.

And, I believe a very lucky batch to attempt JEE Mains twice a year.

So, you now have three more years to crack JEE Mains and two times a year in accordance to NTA.

Yes if you have applied for JEE main then irrespective of whether you appear for the exam or do not appear for the exam date attempt will be counted against your number of attempts therefore when you feel the application form that counts for your attempt not when you appear for the exam.

In case of JEE main  a student can attempt for three times in consecutive years starting from class 12th there for you should not worry about your items because these are fix attempt even if you miss to apply for the exam then also there won't be any benefit because if you miss in class 12th then also you can appear 2 times that is that 12th attempt has gone.
