Hi Candidate,

First of all let's know about the Capacitor behaviour in sinusodial AC, The potential difference across the capacitor is at its maximum negative value, no current flows into the capacitor and it becomes fully charged the same as at its 90 o point but in the opposite direction.

It has the graph same as the Sine Wave but has a phase difference of +π/2, while incase of Inductor, the graph has a Negative phase difference of -π/2.
