If a student is holding seat in his/her state through state counselling for mbbs will he/she be eligible for stray vacancy round? Can the student drop his state counselling seat for getting admission through stray vacancy counselling?

Hello Aspirant ,

As per the eligibility criteria for stay vacancy round by MCC, candidates who were allotted seats in round 1,2 or mop up rounds are not allowed to participate in stray vacancy round. In the state counselling too if you have been allotted a seat in round 1 or round 2 you can’t participate in the stray vacancy round. If not, then you have to register again.

However, in some states, even if you are allotted a seat in the first or second round you can participate in stray vacancy counseling. Please verify the same from official websites of respective states.
