If you are in the SC category, you would need to score around a minimum of 100 - 130 marks in JEE Mains to get admission in the top branch NITs and a minimum of 80 - 100 marks for lower-ranked college NITs. But it would be best if you would aim for higher marks, not minimum, even if you belong to the reserved category.

if you belong to the sc category, then to get admission in a good NIT college, depends on both ur JEE Mains Percentile and the branch u want.. Generally to get admission in a top or decent NIT you should score 88 to 98 percentile. With around 90 percentile, you may get lower-competition branches in newer NITs.
