If you took the MAT through the IBT (Internet-Based Test) mode, you usually don’t need to worry about being asked why during your personal interview. The IBT is simply an online way to take the same MAT exam, with the same syllabus, pattern, and scoring as other methods.

Colleges mainly consider your MAT score, academic record, and performance in GD/PI rounds when shortlisting candidates. The mode of the exam does not affect your chances of admission.
