With reference to your query,  I would glad inform you that mca duration is same for all type of courses like bca ,bsc,btech .However , duration of the course has now reduced to 2 years in many universities such as VIT university , GGSIPU delhi , Christ university whereas in all nits duration of mca is 3years so duration will be same for all courses in specific college
