Dear Student,

Generally in every college there is a sliding procedure after 1st year completion. If you want to change your course from Biotechnology to some other branch then you must need two things.

The first one is that, you have to get very good marks in your 1st and 2nd semester exams or overall top in 1st year. You have to be in top students. The second thing is that , there must be some vacant seats in branch that you are looking to move now.

If you have both these things , then you can slide your branch from Biotech to that branch without any difficulty. This is not the case that you , came top in 1st year but there is no vacant seat in the branch you wanted to move. So in that case you can't change your branch.
