There are a total of 5 subjects and if you fail in anyone of them in your board exam then your result status will state : fail i.e you will be considered fail.

So , if you fail in chemistry, then you will be considered fail in your class 12th examination dear

To pass in your board examination, you need to pass in all the 5 subjects.
