Hi

This is a bit difficult that whether you will get a seat in NIT or not with 140 marks as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like  number of students that appeared in the exam, kind of marks obtained by them , toughness level of the jee main examination , number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

With 140 marks, your expected OBC category rank is around 2350-4000 and general rank expectation is around 12281, for this you can refer to our page the link is provided below

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile

With your this expected rank you have good chances to get a seat in NIT.

For example,
In round 6 of josaa counselling 2020 , for obc category  to get computer science engineering   , 7593   was obc closing rank  for open state in nit srinagar

You can check the same at
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Now,
limited time is left for jee mains 2021 , so focus on your preparation, to prepare well for your jee examination, go through chapters first and your focus should be on grasping concepts , practising questions and then revising them, go through mock test paper sample papers and previous year question papers as it will let you know your preparation level and and weak areas so that you can work on them and perform well in your examination.

If you have any other doubt then you can always reach us to clear them :) we are always available to help you out and guide you

Thankyou

Dear Aspirant

To get admission into the undergraduate engineering program offered by any of the National Institute of Technology, candidates are not only required to qualify JEE Main exam , but also have to meet the cutoff specified by the respective NIT. There are a total of 31 NITs in India and each institute releases its own JEE Main 2020 cutoff to offer seats in the B.Tech courses. At the time of preparing

the cutoff, several parameters such as difficulty level of the exam, total number of candidates, previous year’s trends etc. are taken into consideration.
