The branch and college in upward movement depends on the college and branch you have selected while filling the form. 

Suppose you have filled 10 colleges in the list and you have got 5th college. Now in ulward movement if any seats remains vacant for you in 1-4 colleges you will be alloted that. 

And branch choice is which you have filled in the form if you have filled all IT branches you will get IT of you have filled different branch it will get changed.
