In MP the admission in engineering colleges are done through the Mpdte councilling process. Mpdte provides the facility to the students to change a branch within the college on the vacant seats at the last round of the councilling just before the college level councilling. After the second round a candidate can apply for the internal branch change to his desired branch if there is a vacant seat in that branch. The branch change occurs if you are having good marks than others candidate applying for that same seat . As in your case you got the EI branch so in the internal branch sliding round you can apply for the branch change to your desired branch based on the vacancy of seats , reservation quota and your ranks and if you stand out on this things you will get the branch according to your choice.
