Hello Srinivasarao,

JOSAA Counseling is usually done around 7 rounds. If you get a seat in the earlier rounds you can freeze your seats. If you didn't get any seat allotted then either you can step out of the counseling process or you can keep trying to get a seat in the next round. After 7 rounds there are special rounds that are used to fill the seats which are left vacant during the 7 rounds earlier.
