Yes, it is possible to take admission to computer science branch even you have gate exam in electronics and communication engineering.

All the higher colleges just look for your gate score and your all India rank. If you have good score in GATE exam then you can get any branch in the higher colleges.

But for that you should get the qualifying marks for that branch.
