If you are allotted a seat in the general category based on your rank, even though you had selected the OBC category in your application, it's unlikely that they would ask you to submit your OBC certificate for verification. Generally, the category you select during the application process is used for initial allotment and eligibility verification purposes. Once you are allotted a seat based on your rank, the category you selected during application may become irrelevant.
