Yes, if you qualify in GATE by scoring the minimum cut off specified you are eligible to get admission in a college but might not be in IITs or NITs. Besides IITs and NITs GATE score is accepted by private Institute and in few states like Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamilnadu for admission in to M.E/M.Tech based on GATE score. But the cut off will be different for each Institute so you will get admission only if you have the required GATE score which is specified by the respective college in which you are interested to seek admission.
