Hello Aspirant,

Yes definitely you can participate next year in JOSAA counselling even if you did not get any seat in JOSAA counselling of this year and let me tell you that you don't fil any preferences then you would not be allotted any seat in JOSAA counselling because the seat allotment is done on the basis of preferences filled by the candidate and  their ranks in JEE-Main or JEE-Advance.

Complete process for registration for JOSAA Counselling is mentioned below :-

  • Registration for the counselling on josaa.nic.in
  • Choice Filling and Locking of Choices.
  • Mock Seat Allotment
  • Seat Allotment Result
  • Payment of Seat Acceptance Fees and Download of Provisional Seat Allotment Letter
  • Reporting to the Reporting Centres
  • Confirmation of Admission

you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India on the basis of your JEE-Main 2021 result :-

Now if you had also appeared for JEE-Advance 2021 then you must have got your result so to have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon JEE-Advance 2021 score you can use JEE-Advance College Predictor:-

Hello Aspirant! Of course you can participate in the next counselling with your new JEE Advanced score even if you didn't  chose any college in the previous  counselling. That's what a year drop is meant for. That's not a big deal. You can chill and prepare well for you second attempt and get your desired college and branch.
Hope this helps.
