hope you are doing good. To become eligible for attending AFSSB you need to qualify the exam everytime. Since AFCAT held twice a year so you get two chances to attend AFSSB

AFCAT   airforce common admission test is a national level examination conducted by air force for different jobs in airforce.
Held twice in a year.
Fee- 250
Exam durations - 2 hrs
Seats- 249

Eligibility-

1. Candidate must be passed 10+2 with more than 60% in physics and maths.
2. Holds a bachelor degree.

Whereas afsb is  airforce selection board interview
This term is especially used by indian air force for ssb. Indian navy and Indian army term this as ssb.
It is a 5 day multi task training and interview process  by these bodies to filter out best candidates among qualified ones.

You have to apply every time for afcat and after clearing the merit list you will be called for an afssb.
