Reading the books used by mba students will help you but not much as mba is not just reading books but much more than that , mba students are made to develop skills like general leadership, analysis, and decision-making skills etc throughout the course of mba which you can not learn  just by reading books . Also, the feeling of accomplishment and the education and skill sets gained by earning an mba degree can improve anyones confidence as they make their way through the business world. Also strategic thinking skills which one learns while earning your MBA , cannot be learned just by reading books. So, just reading books will not help you much.
