If you can get such short term courses certificate by learning online than yes they will be helpful, sort team courses can boost up your knowledge or at times in the field of your studies.  It's not necessary that it might help you fo secure a job buy you might apply it somewhere or other so its never gonna go waste.

Note: all subjects/ courses are thought because they are required thus it wont be a waste.
