Dear Student,
JEE conducts their exam in two phase, first one is JEE mains and second one is JEE Advance. One can give JEE mains four times in a year and and can give JEE Advance only once in a year. And you will be eligible for JEE Advance only if you have cleared and of the JEE mains exam.
To appear in JEE Advanced, a diploma holder can apply in JEE Main. But their rank & score in JEE Main will not be considered for admission in NITs & GFTIs. So you can take admission in only IIT's, the doors of NIT and IIIT or GFTI is closed for diploma holders.
Good Luck :)
