Yes, you can but it is pretty tough tough. You have to make several rounds or the formalities with valid reasons.

CBSE strictly prohibited school to give direct admission in Class X and XII even in transfer of school -from CBSE school to CBSE —-however for students’ interest CBSE has made provision to take direct admission in class X and XII -( Transfer from CBSE to CBSE School) and on some special cases from other board to CBSE board on also condition basis - “In order to ensure better adaptability to the academic environment of new school, students desirous of changing school may be advised to change school while studying in class IX or in Class XI. All cases of admission shall be regulated by the relevant rules contained in the Examination Bye-Laws.
