Dear Aspirant,

If you have completed the prerequisites of a job you are seeking and if you are in the required age limit according to that job then your drops year cannot be the hurdle in getting that job. It is other thing that you will be asked why you took the gap from your studies and for that you have to be ready to explain it in something like interview rounds.

Moreover as you are option for Teaching job, then there is very less chance that you will be asked to explain because instead of this they will test your approach of teaching and how well you are making students learn things.

Having said that, as you have not mentioned the name of Schools which you are trying for, so I recommend you once go through the those schools eligibility criteria for your surety, then only you can prepare confidently for the concerned job.

I hope this answer helps you.

All the very best!
